The unemployment rate in June fell in every metro area in the state for the third month in a row.

Illinois Republicans say they want to continue a legislative investigation into a mismanaged anti-violence program. But that goes against the wishes of the federal government.

Illinois' tourism numbers set another record in 2013, bringing in over 100-million visitors to the state.  State agencies aim to grow those numbers more in the face of budget cuts.

No voting on term limits for state lawmakers

  Illinois voters will NOT get a chance to weigh in on term limits for state lawmakers.  A Cook County judge today ruled the question is unconstitutional for voters to take up.
