Ramirez Sentenced to Life In Prison For 2018 Murder of Parents

Mar 6, 2020

Jose Ramirez will spend the rest of his life in prison for the October 2018 murder of his adoptive parents at their Princeville home.

Judge John Vespa today sentenced the 22-year-old Ramirez to natural life in prison with no chance of parole for the deaths of Susan Brill de Ramirez and Antonio Ramirez Barron. Both were Bradley University employees.

Prosecutors say Ramirez admitted he killed his parents and didn't show any remorse.

Matthew Roberts, 22, is serving 60 years for his role in the murders. He was found guilty but mentally ill as part of a plea deal hashed out last November.
