A long time Peoria Police professional retired this week. Assistant Chief Lisa Snow’s retirement was official Tuesday.
Snow’s law enforcement career with the Peoria Police Department spanned 27 years. She started as a rookie at 22 and during her career earned a doctoral degree from the U of I.
She says she’s grateful for her time in police and community service and she looks forward to spending more time with her family.
Snow has accepted a civilian appointment to the position of Special Assistant to the Chief. She’ll spend the next six months assisting with the department’s leadership transition.
Captain Loren Marion III has been promoted to Assistant Chief.
Marion is an Army veteran with 23 years on the Peoria Police Department. He's served in a variety of specialty units in the department and also worked collaterally with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
