This event is free and open to the public. The first 5 guests to arrive will receive a free copy of Celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas, signed by the author. Surprising Insights to Holiday Traditions What if December 24th (Christmas Eve) was not the end of the season of celebration but the beginning? People wax nostalgic about the lost “meaning” of Christmas and how the holiday has devolved into a commercial frenzy, but what if there was a way to get back to that “Christmas Feeling”? The phrase “12 Days of Christmas” inevitably conjures images of partridges, pear trees, and golden rings, but the 12 Days of Christmas are a Yuletide tradition that goes back hundreds of years. Author Chris Marchand takes a deep dive into what the 12 Days of Christmas really are, how they are related to Holiday traditions from around the world, and how families and churches can make the most of this two-week-long celebration. If you have gone “wassailing,” have seen girls wearing crowns of lit candles, or found candy in your shoes, and you understand all these references, you do not need to come to this program! If, however, you would like to dramatically increase your knowledge and awareness of holiday traditions, COME TO GERMANTOWN HILLS ON DECEMBER 3rd!
